BioTo be honest, I don’t particularly care for pants. This doesn’t mean I wear a lot of dresses and skirts (which I do wear) or that I burn pants at the national pantsuit pageant. It means I don’t like having to wear bottoms in general. The concept of pants is dandy, I just prefer to wander around my house not in them.
I also have a strange addiction to change. Not just the social change I academically write about, but like new curtains and apartments. Since the age of 18 I have lived in 8 different housing situations and in three different states. I know that’s nothing compared to some people, but who else do you know that has a new sofa ever 2.5 years?
Baking and cooking aren’t hobbies but life passions. I want to open a cupcake wine bar called Juniorcake’s. But I am afraid that stupid, hair-tossing women will come and pretend they are SATC characters. That would annoy me.
When I’m not redecorating and cooking pantless, I spend a good amount of time on my education and hanging out and enjoying life with my partner, Joe (otherwise known as “the boy”). Education is very dear to me and after doing a job search yesterday I realized that “teaching on the college level while writing about communication, gender, fat, feminist ideologies, and etc” won’t be be found on craigslist. Looks like Ph.D here I come! Joe and I live in a cute little 3ish bedroom apartment 4 blocks to the beach in Sunny, Warm San Diego. He keeps my redhead rage in check while I explain the benefits of not keeping toenail clippers in the kitchen to him. We’re cute like that.
Oh and I’m very friendly. Even if Deb thinks there should be a facebook group titled “Genievrestella f%^&ing hates me”.
